About Edi
Multimedia Journalist and Content creator

Born in Togo, West Africa, I came to the US in 2007 with my mother and little brother. My parents desired a better education for us. We settled in Newark, NJ and turned it into our second home.
As an immigrant, I saw the importance of journalism in my country, from gathering the accurate information and passing it, to potentially saving lives of citizens. I felt it was my duty to put my skills and interests together and tell the story of others.
In college my passion for photography expanded. My teachers and internships helped me develop my skills storytelling and become a better visual journalist.
One such program was NABJ’s Multimedia student project, where I was assigned to cover election, panel and board meeting stories.
I also had a terrific freelance experience at NJ.com, New Jersey’s leading provider of local news in the state and the Lehigh Valley. I had the chance to work with a photographer and mentors.
My journey has lead me here, seeking my next career opportunity to continue telling the stories of others. Please feel free to contact me at my contact information below for any entry level position in news reporting, photography, marketing associate, content specialists, visual assistant, and content writing or if you would like to collaborate on a project.
Thank you
